If you love warm, crispy treats with a creamy center, these Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches are about to become a new favorite! Each sandwich is filled with soft, sweetened cream cheese and juicy strawberries, then dipped French-toast style and pan-fried until golden. They’re perfect for a fun dessert, a cozy weekend brunch, or a quick sweet snack.
8 slices brioche or challah bread
4 oz cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp powdered sugar (plus extra for dusting)
½ cup fresh strawberries, sliced
¼ cup strawberry jam
2 large eggs
3 tbsp milk
2 tbsp butter (for frying)
Make the filling
In a small bowl, mix softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
Assemble the sandwiches
Spread the cream cheese mixture onto 4 slices of bread.
Add sliced strawberries and a small spoonful of strawberry jam on top.
Close each one with the remaining bread slices.
Prepare the coating
In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs and milk until combined.
Dip the sandwiches
Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides evenly.
Fry the sandwiches
Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
Fry each sandwich for 2–3 minutes per side, or until beautifully golden.
Add more butter as needed.
Finish and serve
Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels.
Dust lightly with powdered sugar before serving.
Use soft bread: Brioche or challah gives the best flavor and fries beautifully.
Don’t over-soak: A quick dip in the egg mixture is enough—too much and the bread becomes soggy.
Switch up the fruit: Try blueberries, raspberries, or sliced bananas.
Make ahead option: Assemble the sandwiches, refrigerate, and fry when ready.
