Heat-Treat the Flour

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Add milk, vanilla extract, and red food coloring. Mix until combined.

  3. Add heat-treated flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Mix until no dry streaks remain.

  4. Fold in mini chocolate chips.

Serve

Enjoy immediately with a spoon, scoop into bowls, or use as a topping for ice cream, brownies, or cupcakes.

Notes

  • If dough is too thick, add 1 teaspoon of milk at a time until desired consistency is reached.

  • For a richer flavor, use dark cocoa powder instead of regular cocoa.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

  • Want extra indulgence? Swirl in cream cheese or white chocolate chips.
