This Protein Cookie Dough is a delicious 5-minute snack that tastes just like real cookie dough — but with extra protein and better-for-you ingredients! It’s vegan, gluten-free, refined sugar-free, and packs about 10 grams of protein per serving. Perfect as a post-workout fuel or a healthy dessert when cravings strike.
1 cup almond flour
½ cup vanilla protein powder
¼ cup unsalted creamy peanut butter
¼ cup maple syrup
¼ cup non-dairy milk (plus more as needed)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
⅔ cup chocolate chips (dairy-free if needed)
In a bowl, whisk together almond flour and vanilla protein powder.
Slightly warm the peanut butter in the microwave for about 20 seconds until softened.
Add the warmed peanut butter, maple syrup, milk, and vanilla to the dry ingredients.
Mix with a rubber spatula until a smooth dough forms. If it’s too thick, add 1–2 more tablespoons milk.
Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly combined.
Enjoy as is or roll into cookie dough bites.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for the best texture.
Protein powder matters: Vanilla pea protein works well, but whey or plant blends also hold structure.
Nut-free option: Swap peanut butter for sunflower seed butter or tahini.
Texture controls:
Too dry → add more milk
Too sticky → add a spoonful of almond flour
Try mix-ins like sprinkles, crushed nuts, or white chocolate chips for fun flavor variations.
