Ingredients

Scale

For the Apple Filling

  • 2 apples, peeled and finely chopped

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter

For Assembly

  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough

  • 8 caramel candy pieces

  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

  • Cinnamon sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the oven:
Preheat to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with nonstick spray.

  2. Cook the apple filling:
In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tbsp butter.
Add chopped apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until soft and bubbly.
    Set aside to cool slightly.

  3. Prepare the dough:
Open the biscuit can and separate the pieces.
Stretch each biscuit gently, then flatten into a thin round using your fingers or a rolling pin.

  4. Fill and seal:
Add 1 tablespoon of apple filling to the center of each dough circle.
Place 1 caramel candy on top.
Bring the dough edges up and pinch tightly to seal.
Roll gently into a smooth ball.

  5. Assemble:
Place each ball seam-side down in the greased dish.
Brush the tops with melted butter.
    Sprinkle cinnamon sugar if desired.

  6. Bake:
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until golden brown.

  7. Serve:
Transfer to a platter and enjoy warm.
They’re incredible with caramel sauce or vanilla ice cream!

Notes

  • Cool the filling slightly so the dough doesn’t tear.

  • Seal very well to keep caramel from leaking out during baking.

  • For extra gooeyness, use soft caramels instead of hard candy.

  • Try swapping in pear, pumpkin, or mixed berries for fun variations.

  • These are best served warm, but you can reheat them for 10–15 seconds in the microwave.
