Garbage Bread is the ultimate comfort food—crispy on the outside, cheesy and loaded on the inside. Made with pizza dough and filled with savory meats, cheese, and sauce, it’s perfect for parties, game nights, or an easy family dinner. The best part? You can customize it endlessly with whatever you have in the fridge.
1 lb pizza dough
½ lb ground beef, cooked
½ lb bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup marinara sauce
1 onion, diced and sautéed
Optional Add-Ins:
Bell peppers
Mushrooms
Olives
Extra cheeses (cheddar, provolone, Monterey Jack)
Preheat the oven
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the dough
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle.
Add the fillings
Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving about a 1-inch border around the edges.
Top with cooked ground beef, bacon, sautéed onion, and shredded mozzarella (plus any optional fillings).
Roll and seal
Carefully roll the dough tightly into a log, tucking in the sides as you go. Pinch the seams and ends to seal.
Bake
Transfer to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown.
Cool and slice
Let the bread cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
Vegetarian option: Skip the meat and load up on veggies and cheese.
Crispier crust: Brush the outside with olive oil or melted butter before baking.
Flavor boost: Sprinkle garlic powder or Italian seasoning on the dough before rolling.
Dipping sauces: Ranch, extra marinara, or garlic butter are all great choices.
