Making fried eggs in the air fryer is quick, easy, and surprisingly foolproof. In just 5 minutes, you can enjoy perfectly cooked sunny-side-up eggs with firm whites and runny yolks—no stovetop, no splatter, and almost no cleanup. It’s a great way to start your morning with a simple, protein-packed breakfast.
2 large eggs
Cooking oil spray
Air Fryer
5-inch mini pie tins (recommended for best results)
Lightly spray the mini pie tin(s) with cooking oil spray.
Crack one egg into each pie tin (one egg per pan).
Place the tins into the air fryer basket or on the top rack if using an air fryer oven.
Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes, until the egg whites are fully set.
3–4 minutes: softer whites, runny yolk
5 minutes: firm whites, nicely runny yolk
Cook longer if you prefer a firmer yolk. Remove carefully and serve immediately.
Mini pie tins give the most consistent results and prevent spreading
Always check that the egg whites are fully cooked before serving
If you are at higher risk for foodborne illness, cook until the yolk is firm
Cooking time may vary slightly depending on your air fryer model
