8 slices brioche or challah bread
4 oz cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp powdered sugar (plus extra for dusting)
½ cup fresh strawberries, sliced
¼ cup strawberry jam
2 large eggs
3 tbsp milk
2 tbsp butter (for frying)
Optional Add-ins: Chopped nuts (almonds or pecans) for extra crunch
In a small bowl, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
Spread the mixture onto one side of 4 bread slices.
Top the cream cheese layer with sliced strawberries and a spoonful of strawberry jam.
Cover with the remaining bread slices to form sandwiches.
In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs and milk.
Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides evenly.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tbsp butter.
