Ingredients

Scale

Chicken Wings

  • 3 lb chicken wings, split into wings and drummettes (wingtips removed)

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder (aluminum-free)

  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt

  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder

Buffalo Sauce

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • ¼ cup Frank’s Original Red Hot Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar or brown sugar

Instructions

  • Pat the chicken wings very dry with paper towels (this helps them get extra crispy).

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.

  • In a small bowl, mix the baking powder, salt, and garlic powder. Sprinkle evenly over the wings and toss to coat.

  • Arrange the wings on the wire rack in a single layer.

  • Bake for 25 minutes, flip the wings, then bake for another 25 minutes, or until crisp and fully cooked.

  • While the wings bake, whisk together the melted butter, hot sauce, and sugar in a medium bowl.

  • Transfer the hot wings to a clean bowl, drizzle with buffalo sauce, and toss until evenly coated.

  • Serve immediately with celery sticks and your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Extra crispy: Make sure wings are completely dry before seasoning.

  • Sauce control: Toss lightly for mild flavor or add more sauce for extra heat.

  • Air fryer option: Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 20–24 minutes, flipping halfway.

  • Dips: Ranch or blue cheese dressing pair perfectly.
