1 lb salmon fillets, skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Honey Garlic Sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ teaspoon fresh ginger, grated (optional)
2 tablespoons water
Garnish (optional)
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
Cut the salmon into 1-inch cubes and pat dry with paper towels.
In a bowl, toss salmon with cornstarch, olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
Arrange salmon bites in a single layer in the basket.
Air fry for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway, until crispy and cooked through.
In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm 1 tablespoon olive oil.
Add garlic and ginger; sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in soy sauce, honey, and water.
Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Transfer cooked salmon bites to a bowl and toss with the honey garlic sauce.
Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Serve immediately.
Dry the salmon well: This helps achieve extra crispiness.
Don’t overcrowd: Cook in batches if needed so the salmon crisps instead of steams.
Sauce timing: Toss salmon with sauce just before serving to keep it crispy.
Extra heat: Add a pinch of chili flakes or a drizzle of sriracha to the sauce.
