  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ teaspoon fresh ginger, grated (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons water

Garnish (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Salmon

  1. Cut the salmon into 1-inch cubes and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. In a bowl, toss salmon with cornstarch, olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

Step 2: Air Fry the Salmon

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Arrange salmon bites in a single layer in the basket.

  3. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway, until crispy and cooked through.

Step 3: Make the Honey Garlic Sauce

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm 1 tablespoon olive oil.

  2. Add garlic and ginger; sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. Stir in soy sauce, honey, and water.

  4. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.

Step 4: Coat and Serve

  1. Transfer cooked salmon bites to a bowl and toss with the honey garlic sauce.

  2. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

  3. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Dry the salmon well: This helps achieve extra crispiness.

  • Don’t overcrowd: Cook in batches if needed so the salmon crisps instead of steams.

  • Sauce timing: Toss salmon with sauce just before serving to keep it crispy.

  • Extra heat: Add a pinch of chili flakes or a drizzle of sriracha to the sauce.
