Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lb sirloin steak, cut into -inch by 1-inch pieces

  • 2 tablespoons oil

  • 1½ teaspoons ground black pepper

  • 1½ teaspoons salt

  • 1½ teaspoons soy sauce

Instructions

  • Cut the sirloin steak into evenly sized bite-sized pieces.

  • In a bowl, whisk together the oil, black pepper, salt, and soy sauce.

  • Add the steak bites to the bowl and toss until well coated.

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

  • Place steak bites in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd.

  • Air fry at 400°F for 7–12 minutes, shaking once halfway through:

    • 7 minutes for rare to medium-rare

    • 9–10 minutes for medium

    • 12 minutes for medium-well

  • Serve hot as a main dish or appetizer.

Notes

  • Even size: Cutting steak evenly helps it cook at the same rate.

  • Don’t overcrowd: Cook in batches if needed to get a good sear.

  • Rest briefly: Let steak rest 2–3 minutes after cooking to keep it juicy.

  • Flavor boost: Add garlic powder, paprika, or butter after cooking for extra richness.
