These Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Fries are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and packed with bold garlic and cheesy flavor. They’re an easy side dish or snack that tastes just like restaurant fries—but lighter and faster thanks to the air fryer.
2 large russet potatoes, cut into fries
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Wash and peel the russet potatoes if you prefer skinless fries, or leave the skins on for extra texture. Slice the potatoes into evenly sized fries so they cook evenly.
Place the fries in a large bowl. Add olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss well until every fry is evenly coated.
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the fries in a single layer in the basket, making sure not to overcrowd.
Air fry for 15–18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the fries are golden brown and crispy.
Transfer the hot fries to a clean bowl. Immediately sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. Toss gently so the cheese slightly melts onto the fries. Serve right away.
Extra crispy: Soak cut potatoes in cold water for 20–30 minutes to remove excess starch.
Dry well: Pat the potatoes completely dry before seasoning—moisture prevents crisping.
Batch cooking: Don’t overcrowd the air fryer; cook in batches if needed.
Cheese matters: Use freshly grated Parmesan, not pre-shredded, for better melting and flavor.
Add heat: Sprinkle in paprika or red pepper flakes if you like a spicy kick.
