Light, tangy, and perfectly crispy, these Air Fryer Fried Pickles are even better than the restaurant version. They’re crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and made without deep frying—so you get all the flavor with less oil. Serve them with ranch dressing alongside burgers or sandwiches for a fun family meal or easy date-night snack.
1 (32 oz) jar sliced dill pickles, drained
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon paprika
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
Nonstick cooking spray (olive oil spray recommended)
Ranch dressing, optional, for dipping
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (205°C) for 5 minutes.
Drain the pickle slices and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess moisture.
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
Toss about 15 pickle slices at a time in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess coating.
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with nonstick spray. Arrange pickles in a single layer, leaving space between them.
Spray the tops of the pickles with cooking spray and air fry for 5 minutes.
Flip the pickles, spray again, and air fry for another 4–5 minutes, or until golden-brown and crispy.
Repeat with the remaining pickles.
Serve immediately with ranch dressing, if desired.
Thoroughly drain pickles to prevent soggy coating
Spraying with oil is important for even browning
For extra flavor, lightly toss pickles with a little mustard before dredging in flour
Best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer at 350°F for about 5 minutes
