These Air Fryer Calzones are crispy on the outside, gooey and cheesy on the inside, and packed with savory pepperoni. They’re quick to make, kid-approved, and perfect for parties, weeknight dinners, or anytime you’re craving pizza flavors without the wait.
1 lb pizza dough
½ cup pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
4 oz pepperoni slices
Cooking spray or oil (for the air fryer basket)
Divide the pizza dough into 4 equal pieces.
Using your hands or a rolling pin, roll each piece into a small round pizza shape.
Spoon pizza sauce onto one half of each dough circle, leaving the edges clean.
Layer mozzarella cheese over the sauce, add pepperoni, then top with a little more cheese.
Fold the clean side of the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape.
Crimp the edges firmly with your fingers to seal the calzone.
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil and place the calzones inside (work in batches if needed).
Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 7–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
Remove carefully and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
Don’t overfill: Too much filling can cause the calzones to burst.
Extra crisp: Brush the tops lightly with olive oil before air frying.
Different fillings: Try cooked sausage, ham, mushrooms, or bell peppers.
Cheese swap: Use a mozzarella–provolone blend for extra flavor.
Freezer-friendly: Assemble and freeze before cooking; air fry straight from frozen, adding 2–3 minutes.
