These Air Fryer Calzones are crispy on the outside, gooey and cheesy on the inside, and incredibly easy to make. Filled with melty mozzarella and savory pepperoni, they’re perfect for kids’ parties, quick lunches, or busy weeknight dinners. Best of all, the air fryer gives you a golden-brown calzone in minutes—no oven required!
1 lb pizza dough
½ cup pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
4 oz pepperoni slices
Oil spray (for the air fryer basket)
Prepare the Dough
Divide the pizza dough into 4 equal pieces. Using your hands or a rolling pin, shape each piece into a small round pizza.
Add the Sauce
Spread pizza sauce over half of each dough round, leaving the edges clean for sealing.
Fill the Calzones
Add a layer of mozzarella cheese, followed by pepperoni, then another light layer of cheese.
Fold and Seal
Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape. Press and crimp the edges with your fingers to seal tightly.
Air Fry
Spray the air fryer basket lightly with oil. Place calzones in the basket, leaving space between them.
Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 7–10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.
Serve
Remove carefully and let cool slightly. Serve warm, with extra pizza sauce for dipping if desired.
Seal well: Press edges firmly to prevent cheese from leaking out.
Don’t overcrowd: Cook in batches so the calzones crisp evenly.
Customize fillings: Try ham, cooked sausage, mushrooms, or veggies.
Extra shine: Brush tops with a little olive oil or garlic butter before air frying.
