These air fryer garlic Parmesan potatoes are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and packed with bold, savory flavor. Perfect as a side dish, appetizer, or snack, they’re easy enough for beginners and guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium Yukon Gold potatoes, washed and quartered

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

  • In a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  • Add the quartered potatoes to the bowl and toss until evenly coated with the seasoning.

  • Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the potatoes and mix again so they are well covered.

  • Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding.

  • Air fry for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.

  • Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Soak first: For maximum crispiness, soak potato quarters in cold water for 30 minutes, then dry thoroughly before seasoning.

  • Single layer: Cooking in one layer helps the potatoes crisp instead of steam.

  • Cheese timing: Mixing Parmesan with the potatoes before cooking creates a crispy, savory crust.

  • Flavor boost: Add extra garlic powder or paprika if you like bold flavors.
