Air Fryer Bacon: The Ultimate Guide to Perfectly Crispy, Mess-Free Bacon Every Time

Air Fryer Bacon: The Ultimate Guide to Perfectly Crispy, Mess-Free Bacon Every Time

This Air Fryer Bacon is perfectly crispy, fast, and mess-free. There’s no need to flip the bacon, and the air fryer helps render the fat evenly for great texture every time. It’s ideal for breakfast with eggs, as a baked potato topping, or to use in salads and sandwiches.

Ingredients

Scale

8 slices bacon

Instructions

  1. Arrange the Bacon
Lay the bacon slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer. The slices can touch but should not overlap.
Tip: If your air fryer basket is small, cut the bacon in half and cook in batches as needed.

  2. Air Fry
Cook at 350°F (177°C) for 8–15 minutes, depending on your preferred crispiness.

    • Thin bacon cooks faster

    • Thick-cut bacon takes a bit longer

  3. Drain
Transfer the cooked bacon to a paper towel–lined plate to absorb excess grease.
If cooking multiple batches, carefully discard the grease from the bottom of the air fryer before starting the next batch.

Notes

  • Start checking at 8 minutes to prevent overcooking.

  • No flipping required—the air fryer circulates heat evenly.

  • For extra-crispy bacon, cook closer to the 15-minute mark.

  • Save the rendered bacon grease for cooking eggs or vegetables.
