Air Fryer Apples: The Ultimate Guide to a Cozy, Healthy, and Delicious Treat

These Air Fryer Apples are a quick and cozy treat made with just a few ingredients. They’re soft on the inside, lightly caramelized on the outside, and full of warm cinnamon flavor. Perfect as a simple dessert, breakfast topping, or healthy snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup (or sweetener of choice)

  • 2 teaspoons oil or butter (optional, omit for fat-free)

Instructions

  • Gather all ingredients. Lightly grease the air fryer tray or line it with air fryer liners.

  • Peel the apples if desired. Remove cores and seeds, then chop into small squares.

    • You can also cut them into apple sticks or thin slices for apple chips.

  • Place the apples in a bowl and toss with cinnamon, sweetener, and optional melted butter or oil.

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

  • Arrange apples in a single layer on the tray. Avoid overcrowding—cook in batches if needed.

  • Air fry for 7 minutes, then open the air fryer and shake or stir the apples.

  • Continue cooking for 8 more minutes, or until the apples are caramelized and tender to your liking.

  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

    • Best apples: Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Granny Smith work great.

    • Extra flavor: Add a pinch of nutmeg or vanilla extract.

    • Crispier texture: Slice apples thinner and extend cooking by 2–3 minutes.
