These Air Fryer Apple Fries are a fun, crispy-sweet treat that’s easy to make and impossible to resist. Fresh apple slices are coated in a light cinnamon-sugar breading, then air-fried until golden on the outside and tender on the inside. Perfect as a snack, dessert, or kid-friendly treat, they’re delicious served warm with caramel sauce or whipped cream.
2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith work best)
½ cup all-purpose flour
1 large egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Nonstick cooking spray
Prep the apples: Peel the apples if desired, then cut into fry-shaped sticks. Pat dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
Set up coating stations:
Bowl 1: Add flour.
Bowl 2: Whisk together the egg and milk.
Bowl 3: Mix panko breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon.
Coat the apples: Dredge each apple stick in flour, dip into the egg mixture, then coat evenly with the breadcrumb mixture.
Air fry: Lightly spray the coated apple fries with nonstick cooking spray. Arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if needed.
Cook: Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 7–9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and crispy.
Serve: Enjoy warm with caramel sauce, yogurt, or whipped cream.
Choose firm apples like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith so the fries hold their shape.
Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket—this helps the fries crisp evenly.
For extra crunch, lightly spray the fries again halfway through cooking.
Serve immediately for the best texture.
