15-Minute Air Fryer Bagels: The Ultimate Easy Homemade Bagel Recipe

These 15-Minute Air Fryer Bagels are incredibly easy, chewy, and delicious—made with just 5 simple ingredients. Thanks to Greek yogurt, there’s no yeast, no rising time, and no boiling required. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a quick snack, these homemade bagels are endlessly customizable with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 2 cups plain nonfat Greek yogurt

  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, add the flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until well combined.

  • Stir in the Greek yogurt using a wooden spoon or rubber spatula until a dough forms.

  • Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for 2–3 minutes, until smooth.

  • Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces.

  • Roll each piece into an 8–10 inch rope, then pinch the ends together to form a bagel shape.

  • Brush each bagel with beaten egg and sprinkle with your desired toppings.

  • Set the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).

  • Air fry for 10–12 minutes, or until the bagels are golden brown.

  • Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use thick Greek yogurt for best texture; thin yogurt can make the dough sticky.

  • If dough feels too wet, add 1–2 tablespoons of flour while kneading.

  • Avoid overcrowding the air fryer—cook in batches if needed.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for longer storage.
